About Me

I am a lifelong lover of all things wildlife-related, with a particular interest in birds and conservation. Currently, I am a Master's graduate student at Austin Peay State University studying population genetics in the Louisiana Waterthrush.

In my free time, I enjoy birding, painting, pottery, reading, and horseback riding.

Research and Work Interests

My research interests primarily focus around conservation-related work with birds and other wildlife. Helping mitigate the impacts of climate change, pollution, and urban/agricultural development is what I'm most passionate about, through both active management as well as research projects that help inform the best course of action for wildlife conservation and protection.

Science and Art

In addition to my scientific interests, I also enjoy several forms of art-making, much of which is inspired by or designed for exploring scientific concepts through artistic expression. My portfolio includes illustrations for published books, creating educational displays for various organizations, and generally being inspired by the beauty of the natural world with the hopes of invoking a sense of wonder of wildlife and their environment.
